Watching the Obama Inaugural Parade talent on parade TV 2 years ago I noticed something very strange. I only tuned in to near the end of the parade. The TV commentator mentioned that the section of seating that President and Mrs. Obama were seated in was reserved for the Presidential Family and his close freiends. Well, I tell you there was NO One in the whole seating section except for Michelle and Obama ! Not I grant you it was a very cold day and near the end of a long day of festivities. But Read More...
Sometimes the genius is in the mundane. We built the capability (as I am sure many others did as well) how to keep a guy interested broadcast text messages to a managed list of subscribers years before twitter. It was a small part of our large robust b2b framework. Thought never crossed our minds that a bunch normal people would be interested walking around sending messages about mundane everyday things they were doing or that anyone would be interested in receiving them at the other end. My Billion Read More...
As you watch the protests it becomes clear that a number of the protesters were not union members but wet behind the ears college punks, who never worked a day in their life. They believe the world owes them a life. They don't learn this from their parants, they learn it from their college profs. it's called indoctrination, and mom and dad are oblivious, so we end up with a generation of socialist punks voting, in the next election, how to succeed in life destroy the country and if they succeed, Read More...
I have to say that it bothers me that belief or non-belief in AGW is being linked with belief or non-belief in Evolution. Evolution has a lot more evidence supporting it than the hysterical notion of man-made catastrophic global warming nee climate change ever will. I think the rhetorical connection is being established as a way to attack anybody who questions global warming as being part of the same group that thinks the World is 6,000 years old. That is a typical Alinskyite tactic that the democrats Read More...
Did you think that I was apologizing for the president Mr. Osoky? You are apparently another of these group thinkers that believe your team meeting may be forgiven anything, because they are your team. That criticizing your team is praise for the other side. Obama continued Bush's two senseless wars and added a third one. He continued the Bush tax cuts and added more tax cuts for businesses, while businesses reported record profits. He has done nothing to address soaring medical costs. There are Read More...
Our economy would improve if republicans would swear how to improve communication skills not start any more senseless wars. And if would improve even more if republicans stopped the senseless wars that they started. And our economy would improve more than that if republicans would raise taxes to pay for their senseless wars that have been going on longer than any wars in our history, and their bank bailouts, and their tax cuts for the rich and for the big corporations that have all been paid for Read More...
I think BP ought how to relieve stress tap the well and start pumping oil to the surface and the waiting tankers. They ought to take all the oil from the well and use the proceeds to help the victims in the Gulf region. Macondo is a strong well with some great pressure. They ought to tap the well to relieve that pressure and then use the oil that they tap to pay for the damages caused by the spill. They could drill a better well head into the well and use the well wisely. It would be a shame to cap Read More...
The third lesson? Life imitates art? Not quite. Life imitates Reality TV. And this is the sad part. Not to dump on the would be femme fatal in this case, who, after all, was literally a Hollywood star and a contestant in a Reality TV show, she anticipated a settlement and reportedly has one. Not having a single fact in the matter, I infer that this is the governance paradigm in reality TV. Write a layoff letter; get even more publicity (and maybe a settlement or at least another TV show); no harm Read More...
Then you, of all people, should have a healthy body fat percentage respect for the complexity and the elegance of the design of the human body - or any other living creature. Those who believe that it was all the result of a lucky series of accidents, are to put it charitably, math-deficient. While you were deprecatory about engineers, we as a body understand the difficulty involved in designing something and making it work. I have had some success but I could never design something evolved into Read More...
The county or city should have bought the Reds and the Bengals from their owners and continued to play in Riverfront stadium (which was not even paid for yet). It would have been far cheaper at the time, and especially in the long run. The Green Bay Packers are city owned, and this eliminates the conflict between team owners who can try to hold up a city/county for a new stadium and the people who pay for it. OF course the best solution would be for the private owners to pay for private stadiums, Read More...
