Well, bad teachers could be fired by a school system in that case. If the school system were capable of performing such a qualitative 360 evaluation. and if they were willing to evaluate teacher performance on that, and if they actually had incentives to do it right, and if the teacher's union didn't violently oppose the concept, and if the teachers had some other possible employer in the same state....

Better for whom? I grew up as a gen-xer, had terrible parents who got divorced parents. They still haven't grown up and can't face up to their decisions so long ago - they still both blame it on each other & any bad trait I or my siblings have came from the other one. Hate to bust your bubble but baseball develops both individualism and team leader skills work. At bat is the time for individual achievement and in the field is why you work as a team. Wow, I find this result to be more interesting than the article's! Only 58% of the dysfunctional teams with 30+ wins at the 50 game mark made the playoffs! So it is no slamdunk to make the playoffs at the 50 game mark even when you have 30+ wins. However, under 20 wins, you can pretty much kiss it goodbye.

Is this same technique going to be use in simple hiring? when compainies are trying to can't find a job the best and the brightest.
